Launceston Clubhouse
The Tamar Yacht Club’s Launceston clubhouse at 7 Park Street is the heart of our city‑side community.
Our office is open Tuesday to Friday, 9am–3pm, and members are always welcome to drop in.
Relax in our comfortable club room, enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee, catch up with fellow members, or simply take a quiet moment while overlooking the river. The clubhouse is your home base — a friendly space to unwind before or after time on the water.
Slip Yard
Our Launceston premises feature a well‑equipped slip yard offering services for a wide range of vessels, available to senior members with boats on the club register.
We provide:
Slipping facilities suitable for most boat sizes
Moorings for vessels under 30ft
Pile moorings for larger boats
Jetty access for short‑term loading
Bookable pontoons for longer stays
Affordable dinghy storage for senior members
A courtesy dinghy for short‑term use
For safety and security, all club gates are locked before nightfall.
To arrange slip yard bookings or mooring enquiries, simply contact the office.
Beauty Point Marina
The Tamar Yacht Club proudly operates a modern 100‑berth floating marina at Beauty Point, offering a safe, friendly and well‑serviced base for members, visiting yachts, and guests.
Located on the scenic Tamar Estuary — just 7 nautical miles from Low Head — the marina provides secure temporary and permanent berthing for both yachts and powerboats. Visitors can enjoy the welcoming TYC community along with local dining, accommodation, and riverside attractions.
